How to change car coolant at home (DIY)

Its a simply process that you can do at home

Have you ever noticed that your coolant its in a brown color? If yes its time to change the coolant fluid, its a fairly simple process to do at home and you will be saving some money from not going to the mechanic and improving your engine health by giving it new "blood".

The process starts by locating the lower par of the cooling system, in some models you have a small faucet in the lower part of the radiator but in other models you will have to disconect the lower hose from the radiator to drain the fluid.
You put something under the car to catch the fluid, you can remove the tap of the reservoir so the fluid drains faster, after it drains completly just close the faucet, or connect the lower hose depending on your car.
After you do that your going to need some distelled water to clean the system. The process to clean the system is very simple you just need to add the water to your reservoir located in the engine bay, drive for a few minutes to give time for the water circulate throw the sistem then do the same draining process, being carefull to not burn yourself.
You do this 3/4 times until when you drain the water it is clear.
Then you add your coolant mix, turn the engine on and the heat on too to take off all the air in the system, drive for a few minutes and keep an eye in the temperature and check if the fluid level is correct.
Its that simple. Bellow you have a video from youtube channel ChrisFix wich he shows you how to do this process step by step, i recommend you watching the video if you have any doubt.
